My recommendationos to contact Garmin tech help line, ask them about re-booting your Zumo 550.give that a try, and if you do not succeed, then do the exchange with them. That is the route I had to go after the lightning strike, and in the end, Garmin did it for me for free. They will take in your Zumo 550, and replace it with a refurbished one.usually for the price of If for some reason it does struck by lightning, and doing internal damage to the GPS ( I know).then you can do an exhange program with Garmin. The owners manula shows how to do it.I can walk you though it.and you can call the Garmin tech help line, and they can explain it to you. First, there are ways to re-boot your Garmin Zumo 550. I do have an answer, as I have been through this before with my Zumo 550. Unlike Harvey.that acknowledges he doesn't have an answer, and then advises that you go to Walmart to replace your Zumo 550 (just kiddy ya Harv)
